TIMELESS SONG NUMBER 4: LIFE IS A HIGHWAY
Let me tell y’all something. Rascal Flatts did not have to go as hard as they did on this song. They went Dwayne Johnson hard on this song, and I’m thankful every day that they did. They went that hard for us rascals! Now this is one of our newer songs on the playlist as it was made in 2006. However, it is still timeless because it is now 2023, the song is now 17 years old (not legal yet so I wouldn’t get freaky to it) and I can never skip this song when it comes on. In 2066 it will be just the same.
You can never have a bad time listening to this song. It does not matter where you are. Play this in the middle of a party, everyone goes nuts. Need a song at Karaoke when you’re feeling nervous to sing? Put this baby on and everyone will be too busy singing along with you to realize you suck. Kicking back on the beach with a few beers? I could think of no song I’d rather hear more. And the obvious, is there a better song on a road trip? Clearly not! Windows down, hair flowing in the wind, driving as fast as Lighting McQueen when he won the Piston Cup, Life is a Highway absolutely BLASTING, Singing every word as loud as you can! A PERFECT FIT
Is there a better song to movie combo in history? I’m not so sure. We’ve got a movie about talking cars, and a song about life being a highway, driving all night long? I don’t think anything is coming close. The movie Cars has a great soundtrack, but this song is in a class of its own. I bet you all are singing the chorus right now as we speak.
Also, I’d like to add, there will be no Cars slander on my watch. That movie is perfect, with a lot of lessons to learn. Every single human being should watch this movie no matter what the age. You get a perfect movie, and a perfect song to listen to for the rest of your life.
