THE FRIDAY OF WEDNESDAY’S
Well, technically it’s not Friday, but it might as well be. That’s right, it is Thanksgiving Eve, formally known every other week of the year as Wednesday. We have already gone over the worst day of the week, Tuesday. We have already gone over the best time of the week, Thursday nights. But now, we will go over the best Wednesday of the YEAR! The humpiest day of all the hump days! The Wednesday before Thanksgiving.
GET THE PARTY STARTED
By the time you’re reading this, you’re already done pretending to do work for the day. 8 hours of nothing, I applaud you for it. You’re probably getting ready to go out as we speak, reading this fantastic blog as you get ready to pregame with all your home town friends. Maybe a little Levels by Avicii to get the night going?!?!?! Fuck that sounds awesome. What other Wednesday are you going to do that on? None. No other Wednesday’s and do you want to know why? If you go out any other Wednesday it throws off the rest of the week. A normal Wednesday night out is no grand old time like Thursday night, but the Wednesday night before Thanksgiving… Oh wow what a time!
IT MAKES THANKSGIVING GREAT
We had to wait 11 months, 11 full months, but the greatest Wednesday of the year has arrived and it is glorious. Going out to your home town bar, maybe rekindling an old flame or two? You dirty dogs, you know what I’m talking about. Getting absolutely shitfaced to then wake up after the parade has already finished on Thanksgiving morning. (My favorite tradition, I’ve missed it the last 5 or 6 years at least.) Hungover as hell so you take that special walk with the cousins before you eat dinner to make everything better. ALL A RESULT OF THE BEST WEDNESDAY OF THE YEAR! YOU CANNOT BEAT THAT! The Wednesday before Thanksgiving sets up the entire holiday, it is incredible.
EVERYONE CAN JOIN THE CELEBRATION
Now I will admit, the celebrations of the best Wednesday of the year are for a younger crowd. I’m washed up now I don’t know how many I have left…. SIKE! MISS ME WITH THAT BULLSHIT! I’m young at heart! Even if you’re not at the bars tonight you can celebrate the best Wednesday of the year. You don’t have work tomorrow, you should be off Friday (if you’re not suck it up, you’re not doing shit at work that day either) this is the start of your weekend! Celebrate however you choose! It’s the best Wednesday of the year, it’s the Thursday Night of Wednesdays, it only comes once a year! You waited all this time, enjoy it! And be Thankful (ha get it) because it will be an entire year (365 days) before we see this special hump day again!
