NBA PLAYOFFS: CONFERENCE FINALS PREDICTIONS

Alright, we have officially reached the third round of the NBA playoffs, our conference finals. These playoffs have been magnificent to say the least, and if you have not enjoyed them, it is probably because you are a loser hater cry baby, more than Devin Booker, Chris Paul, or Joel Embiid (oh burn!) But seriously, we have had numerous game 7’s so far, two play-in teams make the conference finals, a rematch of the bubble season (but it was fake right?) And the defending champs go down. You can’t feel it? It’s electric boogie woogie woogie! (Great wedding song right there.)

That is how I know these playoffs have been electric so far. A 27-year high viewership for a conference finals game, that means the last time views were that high I wasn’t even born yet! Just stupendous for the game of basketball. But you all know why we’re here right now. It’s time to give our third-round predictions. Get excited!

Second Round Recap

Just to recap, I went 2-2 in the second round (won both in the west, lost both in the east.) That brings my total up for the entire playoffs to 6-6. Mr. 50 percenter they call me, I don’t care if the glass is half full, or half empty as long as its half. I’m so good that I’m not good, but one thing I will tell you is I do know ball.

There’s not much to recap from these series so I’ll keep it short and sweet, it was always fuck the suns, watching them go out in that fashion again was so glorious. It is because they are the same old suns, but we’ll get into that in a later blog. Let the record show I picked the Lakers in 6! I am just too good man. Fuck that stupid dog, I knew Bron wasn’t losing to Golden State, and I definitely knew he wasn’t blowing a 3-1 lead. You seriously don’t know ball if you thought that was happening.

As far as the east, I should’ve never trusted the 6ers. They are born choke artists. They were never meant to go to the conference finals, and they never will. Everything that has come out of it has been hilarious, but I wanted them to beat Boston so badly. However, they are the same old sixers (we’ll get into what that is soon) and they should be treated as such. Now for the Knicks, we couldv’e done it man. If we just would’ve won game 1 at home, or stolen one on the road we would be playing Boston right now. But Thibs hurt us again, and beside Jalen Brunson and his really big balls nobody else performed.

And that’s our recap. It’s historic how mediocre my run has been. Will we get above 500 for the Conference Finals? Only people that know ball will tell.

CONFERENCE FINALS PREDICTIONS

WESTERN CONFERENCE FINALS

The Lakers are the only team that I have picked correctly on so far in these playoffs. So, you know what that means right? Right. The Lakers are winning this series. Bron and AD are hungry for another ring. Austin Reaves is the modern-day Larry Bird I’m hearing? And with Lonnie Walker, Rui Hachimora, and D’Angelo Russell all playing at the level they have been, the 1 seed Nuggets will be losing to the Lakers in the conference finals for the second time in 3 years. We already have people poking at Bron, like it’s worked so well the first two rounds of the playoffs. It didn’t work for Dillon Brooks.

It didn’t work for Jamychal Green.

And it is not going to work for Kentavious Caldwell-Pope.

When will they learn. Also Jokic is unbelieveable I know this, but I think AD matches up the best with him out of everyone in the league. If not though there’s always this option to secure the W.

LAKERS IN 6! You heard it here first. Bron onto the finals to try and win ring number 5! Also, when will this stupid Corgi learn that it needs to be picking the Lakers if it wants to win?

EASTERN CONFERENCE FINALS

I don’t have much to say about this series. If I could root for both teams to lose I would. The Heat just eleminitated us and I fucking hate the Boston Celtics so much. There whole team sucks besides Tatum, he’s okay. But Jaylen Brown, Marcus Smart, Derrick White, Malcolm Brogdon, all fucking annoying. Can’t stand them. So do I stay emotional and pick the Heat even though I’ve been wrong picking against Boston every time so far? Do I think about the story it would be for a Lakers Celtics championship with Lebron beating the Celtics to get his 5th ring? Think of a story that will be. Or do I go the poetic route and choose Heat so I’ll go 50-50 again, with picking the Lakers right every round, and picking against Boston wrong every round?

Fuck it. Something has to give. I hate to do this, I really do. But Boston will win this series. Celtics in 7. I hate this so much, but I know ball, and I know what will come to fruition.

Well, there you have it. Our NBA finals is set. Lakers vs. Celtics, how poetic. I will see you all before the finals starts to give my prediction. I am hoping to go 1-1 in this round, but we shall see. Either way, we’ve got some good ball coming our way (pause) and I for one am excited for it (pause squared.)
