2023 NBA Finals Preview

That’s right ladies and gentlemen! Friday night we got our first preview at what our 2023 NBA Finals will look like. This game was absolutely electric for all four (4) quarters. Could not have been more intense down the stretch even if it was scripted! (Is it? hmmm) The Bucks coming out the East, and that’s right, the Los Angeles Lakers coming out of the West. Hold up, am I saying a current 13 seed team will make the NBA finals? Yes, I am. Don’t look now, but the Lakers are making a 360 (like AD, Russ, and Bron’s nickname) on their season.

THE BUCKS ARE A JUGGERNAUT

The Bucks are the best team in the league in my eyes. Yes, better than bum ass Boston. They were 15-5 without Kris Middleton! In case you forgot that’s the second-best player on the Bucks, and they were pretty much cruising without him. Not to mention in his first game back from injury since APRIL he put up 17 points and 7 assist. Yeah, nobody’s touching the Bucks in the east. And let’s not forget about this guy:

Everyone know’s Giannis is my second favorite player behind Lebron, so you can imagine my struggle watching the finals preview Friday night. But both of my friends put on quite the performance. Some people say Giannis is the best player in the world right now, and there isn’t much argument against it. He is that dude! If Middleton doesn’t get hurt in the playoffs last year, I say with extreme confidence that the Bucks repeat. Giannis took the Celtics to 7 games by himself! So yeah, the Bucks at full strength are not to trifle with. And they will be back in the finals this year.

WILL THESE LAKERS MAKE IT TO THE FINALS?

No. These Lakers will not make it to the finals. But didn’t I just say earlier the Lakers would make the finals. Yes, I did. The Lakers will make the finals and come out of the West, but it will not be these Lakers. Let me explain what I mean:

This trio is finally starting to come together it seems. Which is the perfect time to make a trade to make the team better. I will admit, with Russ playing better I am going to be sad to see him go. He is starting to thrive within his 6th man role. I mean just look at these stats.

This stat absolutely blows my mind. In 14 seasons in the NBA this is the first time he hasn’t had a turnover in two consecutive games. He really is on the come up! The league should take notice, maybe even give the Lakers their best players for him!

I mean look at this man absolutely thriving! I genuinely don’t know if I want to trade him anymore. It’s kind of funny because everyone (including myself) believed that him, Bron, and AD would not work together. They were practically chasing him out of LA (I blogged about moving him in two separate trades a few weeks ago) but now it’s working! How could you trade Russ now?

This is how. As sad as I would see to see Russ go, this is a move that would elevate the Lakers to a championship contender right now.

ANTHONY DAVIS

As I am writing this blog, the Lakers just beat the wizards to win their 2nd straight, and this is the stat line AD put up. They are all the way back! And this man is playing like an MVP! Lakers 8-2 over their last 10, and AD is leading the way. Just remember when the Lakers and Bucks are in the finals in June, I called it first. LAKERS IN 7! Lebron finals MVP, AD reg season MVP! The preview speaks for itself.
