NO! It is not racist that the Nuggets are in the NBA finals. If you read the title of this blog, and genuinely contemplated it, you, yes you, are a moron. “But they STOLE two in Miami.” Because they are the better team dumb dumbs. They have been the best team in the NBA all year (eh maybe not all year but most of the year.) And they have the best player in the league (quite frankly, it seems like he is the best player in the league by a LARGE margin.) I’ll admit, I thought it was Giannis (it was never Embiid,) but it is most definitely Jokic. Watching what he has done this post season has truly been unbelievable. So unbelievable that Kendrick Perkins, yes, the Kendrick Perkins that had the argument earlier this year that it could be racist if Jokic won a third straight MVP, now thinks the NBA should be marketing Jokic more.
OH, HOW THE TURN TABLES
In case anyone forgot this was the original heated debate between JJ Reddick and Kendrick Perkins regarding Jokic winning three straight earlier this year:
I’ll agree with Perk, I feel like everyone knows Kobe should’ve won Nash 2006 MVP award. I also think Lebron should’ve won 4 straight. You could absolutely make that same argument for Jordan too. And 20 years down the line, we will say the same thing for Jokic in the fact that he should have won the MVP award this year. This is why the argument of giving it to him would be racist is incredibly stupid, HENCE why I asked the incredibly STUPID question, is it racist that the Nuggets are in the NBA finals. It’s satirical (I don’t know if it’s satirical, and I’m not looking up the definition to verify, but if my memory of 11th grade English serves me correctly, then me asking that STUPID question was done out of satire.)
OTHER NARRATIVES?
The only other knock against Jokic against him winning MVP was that he has not made any deep runs in the playoffs. Incredibly stupid argument for multiple reasons. Firstly, the MVP is a regular season award, therefore the playoffs do not matter when it comes to winning it. Secondly, Jokic and the Nuggets literally made the Western Conference Finals in 2020. And if you don’t think that’s a far enough playoff run, buddy, do I have some news for you…

Not great, definitely not great. Also, I know it is coming off otherwise, but this is not an Embiid slander piece. He is a phenomenal player, one of the top players in the league, and anyone who says they wouldn’t want him on their team is talking out of their ass. But I think we can all agree it was Jokic’s MVP award this year.
MAKING HISTORY
Now as just discussed, the MVP is a regular season award. I will not be posting regular season stats, but if you want to challenge what I am saying I will put you in touch with the number one Nuggets fan I know, my good pal Ray. He can give you statistics and analytics all day long. So, you contact me, I put you in touch with him, and you two discuss from there, case closed. In the meantime, let’s look at the history of this Nuggets playoff run:
What an absolutely hilarious stat line. Not the best player though…
Ridiculous. That is so insane. Want to know what’s even more insane about it?
Not only is it the first time in the finals, it’s the first time in NBA HISTORY. We just witnessed HISTORY ladies and gentlemen. Jamal Murray is making a big point that he should be respected as one of the top guards in the entire NBA. Further proving my point, it is not racist the Nuggets are doing so well in the NBA finals at the moment, it is literally because they are the best team.
One more for good measure. Absolutely bananas.
SO, WHAT IS THE OUTCOME?
Can confirm, not racist the Nuggets are in the NBA finals. Can also confirm, not racist they are winning the NBA finals. Can confidently confirm, Nuggets in 5, just as I originally predicted.
