And just like that folks, round 1 is over. Don’t cry because it’s over (except you 76ers fans, you can cry and I would gladly drink your tears like Cartman in that episode of South Park.)
But rather smile because it happened (unless you’re the suns. You guys have absolutely nothing to smile about. At least the Magic are up and coming with Paolo, the Lakers fired their coach which everyone wanted, and even the 76ers fans are happy to get rid of Tobias Harris, but Suns fans have absolutely nothing to be happy about, but we’ll get to that at a later date.)
Was it the best first round of all time like we anticipated? No, but it was a damn good one. And let me tell you something your boy was REDDDDDDDD fucking hot with his pics in the first round. 7-1 across all 8 matchups are you shittinggggg meeeeeeeee. I should start taking my own pics because than I’d actually win some fucking money. For those who forgot, here are the first round picks;
- Cavs>Magic I had the Cavs in 5 because I thought the Magic had to through growing pains and experience in the yoffs (that’s a slang term for the playoffs in case you didn’t know.) And even though they took them to 7 games and had an 18 point lead, ultimately I was correct as they blew that game.
- Knicks>76ers I called this, Knicks in 6. Surprised that I was so worked up after the game 5 loss considering I had it right all along. Hilarious of me.
- Celtics>Heat I originally had it in 5, then switched it to a sweep. Should’ve trusted my gut. Celtics have an absolute cake walk to the Eastern Conference Finals, ridiculous.
- Bucks>Pacers My only incorrect pick of the first round. I thought Giannis would come back and the Bucks would win in 7. I also did not expect Dame to get hurt. But I should’ve known bad things would happen, because bad things always happen to Doc Rivers led teams.
- Wolves>Suns I had the Wolves in 6, boy was I wrong. Anthony Edwards and the Wolves are so fucking awesome. Clean sweep. As I said earlier suns fans, its not looking good for you.
- Nuggets>Lakers The series I wanted to be wrong about. But alas, I just know ball too well. I had the Nuggets in 5, literal genius I am.
- Mavs>Clippers This series ended in 6, and guess what I had it in? 6. Luka is the Clippers daddy, but again we all already knew that.
- Thunder>Pelicans I said the Thunder in 6. Foolish of me, but I let the fact that I went to middle school with Jose Alvarado cloud my judgement (true story, I once played 2k at his house.)

As I said earlier, the Celtics have a fucking cake walk to the ECF. This Cavs team is no match for them, even though the Celtics are overrated in my opinion. Celtics in 5.
WESTERN CONFERENCE
TIMBERWOLVES VS NUGGETS
There is simply no way you thought the Wolves would steal the first 2 in Denver. I know I didn’t and I know ball. But Anthony Edwards is just so God damn good, and too God damn cool. He is dunking all over these nuggets with no sauce (just kidding he has all of the sauce literally, as I said he is so cool.) Jokic looks terrible defensively. Murray looks terrible as a whole (I used to pray for times like this, as I am a Jamal Murray hater.)
Also I have no idea how Mike Malone (hes been demoted from Michael) did not get ejected for this encounter, let alone a tech.
Also, no suspension and only a $100k fine for Jamal?????
I’m not going to lie to you, before the series I was probably going to go with the Nuggets in 7(and I would’ve hoped to be wrong because Anthony Edwards is just simply to awesome to root against,) with an absolute battle of a series. But now, after the Wolves up 2-0, holding the Nuggets to only 80 points in game 2 on their home floor without Rudy Gobert (who just won his 4th defensive player of the year award, really makes you think,) and how flustered the Nuggets look, I’m taking the Wolves. Anthony Edwards has proven to just be too cool. Wolves in 6!
THUNDER VS MAVERICKS
I think the Thunder might actually do this. They have held opponents to under 100 points in every single game they have played in the playoffs. That is fucking insane considering we had some games in the regular season going into the 140’s without overtime. This is going to be a tough series and I could easily see Luka and Kyrie bringing the Mavs back. But even though this Thunder team is corny, I can kind of see them getting it done. Are they too young to get the job done, or are they too naïve to care?
With an outfit like this, I’m going too Naïve to care. THUNDER IN 7!
