2024 NBA Conference Finals Predictions

While the second round of the NBA Playoffs may have been better than the first, the predictions were not. After going 7-1 in the first round, absolutely scorching hot, talking like I put the sun in Phoenix Suns hot, we cooled off slightly in the second round with a 2-2 record. Not cold like the state of Minnesota, but maybe a nice chill breeze after a rain storm filled with Thunder. In all seriousness though what a round, we had two game 7’s, some blow outs, some unfortunate injuries (fuck you Indiana) and all-around great basketball. I hate to see the NBA season go, but I love to watch it leave, as we get the most intense basketball of the year. It steals my heart with ease, if you know what I mean.

ROUND 2 RECAP

CELTICS>CAVS

I had the Celtics winning in 5. Of course, I was correct. I said they had a cake walk to the Eastern Conference Finals before the playoffs even started with how the brackets shaped out. Now with how the second round ended the genuinely have a cake walk to the finals. It’s so sad to see. And everyone in the entire world, besides Celtics fans of course, agrees that it’s a cake walk. It truly is the luck of the Irish I guess you could say.

KNICKS>PACERS

I won’t get into too much here because I will be writing a blog entirely on this series. All I will say is I am very sad that OG got hurt. I am very sad that Brunson got hurt. I am very sad that the Pacers shot a record-breaking field goal percentage from the field to hand the Knicks an L at home in game 7. I am sad the Knicks are now eliminated. The only thing I am happy about is that I was not in the building for game7, because I may have genuinely killed myself if I was.

WOLVES>NUGGETS

To be fair when I did my round 2 predictions this series was already 2-0 Minnesota because of the stupid scheduling of the NBA. If it was not 2-0 Minnesota, I probably would’ve chosen the Nuggets to win the series. And for the record, I thought the Nuggets were going to win the series and I was going to have the wrong pick after they won three in a row and went up 3-2. But Anthony Edwards is just so damn good man. Guarantee’s the Wolves will be back in Denver for game 7 and delivers. And even though he stunk it up offensively in game 7, he contributed in other ways to secure the victory for the team. And we cannot forget, they do have Jaden McDaniel’s. So, if you would like to take half a win away from me for the second round, I will allow it. The overall record for predictions in round 2 is now 1.5-2.5.

THUNDER>MAVS

This is a similar scenario as the Wolves. The Thunder were up 1-0 and I was sucking the sack (pause.) I should’ve known that Luka and Kyrie were just too dominant to lose. The Thunder are a young team and will be back though, they have a lot of potential for the future. Now where have we heard that before…

CONFERENCE FINALS PLAYOFF PREDICTIONS

CELTICS VS PACERS

Now to be fair the Celtics are up 2-0 right now, but even if they were down 0-2, I would still be picking them to win the series. I genuinely cannot believe how badly the Pacers choked away game 1. And then when they are getting blown out Halliburton pulls the hurt hammy card like the bitch he is. Like I have been saying all playoffs, the Celtics have a cake walk to the ECF, and with the Knicks losing in round 2, it has now become a cake walk to the Finals. The Pacers stand no chance. If somehow both of these teams could lose, that is what I am rooting for here. I hate BOTH the Pacers and Celtics. I am on my Kendrick Lamar shit; I AM THE BIGGEST HATER. Also, for how “good” Boston is this year I would find it utterly hilarious if they didn’t even make it to the finals. But that is not going to happen. The Celtics will make the finals, even with Jason Tatum putting up stinker after stinker. (This guy made first team NBA over Brunson by the way. Get the fuck out of here.) Unfortunately, it is once again the Celtics in 5.

TIMBERWOLVES VS MAVERICKS

I am rooting for the Wolves; I have been all playoffs. I hope they come out of the west. Anthony Edwards has become one of my favorite players, even before he started becoming one of America’s favorite players. (This is because I know ball and saw it coming.) However, it just got a whole lot tougher. They choked away game one, and Kyrie and Luka put on a MASTERCLASS. Ant said he was going to take the challenge of guarding Kyrie and got cooked. And his boy Jaden McDaniel’s was right there on the grill next to him after guarding Luka. I do still believe the Wolves will figure it out though. This is going to be a long hard-fought series and me personally, I am excited for it. The Wolves are going to figure this out, and they are going to win in 7. And then everyone in America, besides people from mASSachusetts will be rooting for them in the finals.
